Every product listed by an NRTL is subjected to an inspection as proof of the product safety system’s integrity. Every product safety investigation ends with a physical description of what was tested and subsequently listed. If you are still unaware, manufacturers are charged for the generated inspection descriptive report, and if it’s poorly written, problems can crop up.

A poorly written inspection descriptive report can be too rigid and not allow for alternate components to be used later or preclude similar models without an expensive retesting.
